Looking After Your Children’s Future with Discretionary Trusts

If you have a Discretionary Trust in your Will, assets can be directed into it to benefit any number of beneficiaries you choose, at the discretion of the trustee. This might be useful if, for example, you wish to make future gifts to children. It can also be used to protect someone’s inheritance from being used as part of a divorce settlement. Or, in the case of bankruptcy, the trust can protect their inheritance until the bankruptcy has been discharged.
